What a Turnaround Looks Like From the Inside

Every organisation has a version of the same conversation: someone on the team isn't performing, and the room has quietly agreed on why. Usually the explanation is about the person. Rarely is it about the system around them.
The turnarounds I'm proudest of started by questioning that consensus — not to excuse poor performance, but to separate signal from noise. Wrong seat. Wrong manager pairing. Wrong feedback loop. Fix the system, and the person you were about to lose becomes the person carrying the team two years later.
